Equipping Mobile Health Clinics in Rural East Africa

Vital-signs monitors, pulse oximeters and portable diagnostic equipment for vehicle-based clinics bringing primary care to communities far from the nearest hospital.

Mobile medical response vehicle in the field

For many rural communities in East Africa, the nearest equipped hospital is hours away. Vehicle-based mobile clinics close that gap — but only if the equipment on board is compact, battery-friendly and tough enough for unpaved roads.

Working with a regional health organisation running mobile clinic routes in Kenya, we specified and supplied a monitoring and diagnostics package sized for vehicle use: tabletop vital-signs monitors that double as pulse oximeters, portable examination tools and consumables, all selected for low power draw and easy field cleaning.

What was delivered

  • Vital-signs monitors with SpO2 and NIBP for triage and routine checks
  • Portable pulse oximeters for community screening days
  • Spare sensors, cuffs and consumables sized for a full route season

Every unit shipped pre-configured, with printed quick-start guides and a spares kit so routine maintenance can happen at the clinic base rather than a service centre abroad.
