Sterilization protocol
- Sterilize handpiece at maximum 135°C (improved type ≤155°C); exceeding temperature limits will damage motor components
- Battery is NOT autoclavable and must be removed prior to sterilization
- Ensure battery compartment in handpiece is completely dry after sterilization before battery insertion
- Use aseptic battery transfer ring to maintain sterile field when installing battery
Battery management
- Remove battery from handpiece immediately after surgery to prevent automatic discharge and extend battery life
