Clinical overview

The Spirometer Pro employs a sensitive pressure-flow sensor to detect respiratory gas dynamics during normal breathing and forced maneuvers. The sensor generates differential pressure signals across its screen, which are converted to electrical signals, amplified, and digitized via AD converter. Advanced digital signal processing reconstructs breathing waveforms displayed on the large 320 × 240 LCD screen alongside calculated parameters. Results are immediately printed via the integrated 110 mm thermal printer for clinical documentation.

Measurement protocols follow American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS) standards, with standardized timing windows: VC (50 seconds), FVC (25 seconds), and MVV (12 seconds). The device performs automatic calibration and stores up to 300 complete patient records in internal memory, enabling longitudinal tracking and trend analysis without external data management systems.

Key features & surgeon benefits

Coverage

Comprehensive Pulmonary Assessment

  • Measures VC, FVC, and MVV in single session
  • Calculates 30+ derived parameters (FEV1, MEF, PEF, etc.)
  • Supports both expiratory and inspiratory flow analysis
Workflow

Rapid, Operator-Independent Testing

  • Automatic calibration eliminates pre-test setup delays
  • Large LCD display shows real-time breathing curves and results
  • Built-in thermal printer produces clinical reports on-site
Economics

Cost-Effective Point-of-Care Testing

  • Portable design eliminates need for dedicated pulmonary lab
  • Single-use filters and mouth sets reduce cross-contamination risk
  • 300-record internal memory reduces paper and storage costs
