Its three-step defibrillation process—rhythm analysis, charging, and shock delivery—is fully automated, requiring minimal operator training. The device employs biphasic truncated exponential waveform technology at energy levels of 150J, 150J, and 200J, optimizing efficacy across variable patient impedances (25–175 Ω). Lock-out protection prevents inadvertent defibrillation, enhancing safety in high-stress environments.
Extensive voice and visual prompts guide operators through each step, while internal memory (60 hours) captures ECG signals and event data for post-event review and quality assurance. The unit operates on a long-life disposable LiMnO2 battery (minimum 5-year lifespan) or optional rechargeable battery, ensuring availability when needed.
