The CScan® Android Ultrasound Scanner is a portable, Android-based point-of-care ultrasound system engineered for rapid bedside assessment across emergency medicine, anesthesia, critical care, and specialty imaging. With dual-probe capability (convex 2–5 MHz and linear 5–10 MHz), it delivers real-time B-mode, M-mode, and compound imaging with 256-level grayscale and frame rates up to 24 fps. The 6-inch high-resolution touchscreen (1280×720) provides intuitive image navigation and measurement tools, while integrated cloud storage and DICOM export enable seamless data sharing and telemedicine workflows.
Built-in 5400 mAh battery supports 2 hours of continuous scanning, and wireless connectivity (WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G) allows remote consultation and software updates. The system is ideal for detecting pericardial effusion, guiding vascular access, monitoring fetal development, identifying renal calculi, and confirming bone fractures without radiation exposure.

Good point-of-care tool
As a sonographer I use it for point-of-care musculoskeletal and soft-tissue work. It's not a replacement for a cart-based system, but for portability the image quality is genuinely useful and the battery lasts a full clinic session.

Great for outreach clinics
We deployed two in our outreach programme. The interface is intuitive and exporting clips over the network is straightforward. Depth penetration on the convex probe is the main limitation.
